A beautiful, Christian 91-year-old lady, she was known by her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as Mother, Grandmother, Grandma and Mimi. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family, who loved and cherished her and whom she dearly loved. Her greatest joys in life were her relationship with God, her family (especially the babies), her friends and planting beautiful flowers in her yard. Born in what is now Bainbridge, Ga., on Sept. 2, 1912, she moved with her family to Tallahassee as a young child. Her parents were Leonard Lee Carmack and Versa Lee Williams Carmack. She had two sisters and three brothers, all deceased. Upon her birth, she was named Marie Eloyse Carmack by her mother. Her father, however, never liked the name and soon stared calling her Louise. The name stuck and she was known throughout her life as Louise. She was a member of the Bible Believers' Church, where her son-in-law, Dennis Young, is the pastor. The family would like to offer a very special thank-you to the members of the Bible Believers' Church for their many prayers, visits, cards, flowers and other expressions of love during the past two years. The family would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Scanameo; Gentiva Healthcare physical therapists and nurses, Dr. Albert Menduni, Dr. Jerry Ford, Dr. Stan J. Whitney and Dr. Jake Lambert; the sixth-floor nursing staff at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital; and hairstylist and friend, Lelia Cannington. Additional thanks to Dr. B. David Robinson and the amazingly wonderful staff at the Hospice House, as well as the home caregivers from Big Bend Hospice. We extend our thanks with deepest affection to her first, wonderful and caring nurse, Debra Whitcomb of Burlington, Vt., and Miss Barbara Flenner, her very special and dedicated Hospice volunteer. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished for generations to come by those she loved and those whose hearts she touched in a very special way. She was the most wonderful lady to ever grace God's beautiful earth. She will be loved, missed and remembered until the end of time. She leaves behind an incredible legacy. She is survived by 10 children and 108 grandchildren (including great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren), with more on the way. All but one of her children live in the Tallahassee area. Her five surviving sons are Edward E. Sellers (and wife Mary) of Columbia, S.C., Max T. Ferrell (and wife Ann), Woodrow Alonzo Ferrell, John David Ferrell (and wife Florence) and Daniel Paul Ferrell. Her five surviving daughters are Faye Taylor (and husband Ray); Linda Young (and husband Dennis); Patricia Patterson (and husband Kenneth), formerly of Houston, Texas; Jeannie Colvin (and husband Tony); and Merri Sliger-Herndon (and husband Tom). She is also survived by Shannon Morton Milligan and Danielle Holzworth, granddaughters whom she helped raise. Other survivors include Ethelle and Travis Hiers of Crestview, Paulette Agha of Winston-Salem, N.C., Patricia Jackson of Crawfordville and Beverly Ferrell and Sherry Ferrell, both of Tallahassee; and special friends, Myrtle Ferrell of Panacea, Virginia Moore of Crystal River and Edith Meggs, Myrtle Pearce and Pauline and Alvin Pevey, all of Tallahassee.
