CRAWFORDVILLE - Paul Porcher Keating Jr., 75, a self-employed civil engineer, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Florence "Flo" Keating. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Crawfordville, with burial at the church cemetery. Francis Yvonne Keet, 67, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. She is survived by her mother, Mattie Lou James of Freeport. SOPCHOPPY - Edith B. Keller, 95, who retired as a computer operator for the state of Florida, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in Tallahassee. Malcolm Walter Kemp, 88, a geologist from Missouri City, Texas, died Saturday, April 5, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judith Monteen Henderson Kemp of Chattanooga, Tenn. The service will be at 10 a.m. CDT Wednesday at the Chapel of the Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, Texas (281-565-5015), with burial at 11 a.m. EDT Friday at West Sopchoppy Cemetery in Sopchoppy. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. CDT Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born on Nov. 14, 1914, in Lake Worth, the son of the late Dr. Malcolm Thomas Kemp and Elizabeth May Brown Kemp. After serving in the Air Force during World War II, Malcolm studied geology at the University of Tennessee, receiving Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees. After 33 years of employment with Phillips Petroleum, he retired and pursued various hobbies including gardening and woodworking. He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Elizabeth Kemp and Pamela Monteen Grafe; four grandchildren, Jayson Holley, Michael Grafe, Amy Grafe and Patrick Grafe; a brother, Bernard Kemp of Sopchoppy; and a sister, Eloise Strickland Sopchoppy. Annie Grace Kennedy, 86, who retired as an administrative assistant for the director of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006. Annie Grace was born in Cairo, Ga., and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved until her health would no longer allow it. She had been in the Altar Guild, the United Methodist Women and numerous circles, including Circle 12, and volunteered many hours in the church office. She was also a member of the Tallahassee Arts and Crafts Society. She loved painting, gardening and flowers. Annie Grace is survived by a daughter, Barbara K. Blowers of Tallahassee; a son, Bill Kennedy (and wife Ann) of Crawfordville; a brother, John Dollar of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Susan E. Blowers, Thomas L. "Tom" Kennedy and David J. Kennedy. WOODVILLE - James Ernest "Jim" Kennedy, 77, a retired U.S. Navy CSC, died Sunday, April 6, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Melba Kennedy. Woodville - Melba Anderson Kennedy, 82, who had retired from the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, died Monday, July 14, 2003, in Tallahassee. She was also a member of Winsome Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church in Tallahassee. She was a past secretary for the Big Bend Unit of CCIWB. She and her husband were members of the Cross Trails Chapter Good Sam Club. She was also a charter member of VFW No. 4904 and a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter No. 1103. She is survived by two sons, Richard Blackman of Wakulla County and Robert Blackman of Woodville; a daughter, Becky Blackman of Woodville; three grandsons; a granddaughter; a brother, Maurice Anderson of Tallahassee; two sisters, Margaret Golden of Tallahassee and Betty Britt of Crawfordville; and many loving nieces and nephews. Woodrow "Mr. Woody" Wilson Kenyon, 86, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005. A memorial service will be at 11:30 p.m. EST Friday at the First Baptist Church in Crawfordville. Mr. Woody was born in Barrington, N.Y., on May 2, 1919. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. He was married to his wife, Nellie, for 62 years and raised six children. He retired to Crawfordville 20 years ago, working several years at the local IGA. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Kenyon; four sons, Gary, John, Richard and Roger Kenyon; two daughters, Paula Hornsey and Joanne Steele; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. CRAWFORDVILLE - Francis W. Kephart, 92, who retired as a chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005. CARRABELLE - Martha Lynn Harris Kersey, was born January 6, 1941 in Monticello to the late Evelyn and Waldo Harris. She died on Friday, June 8, 2007, at her home in Carrabelle at the age of 66. Eno Alice Fox Ketchum, 98, died Monday, June 6, 2005, in Hosford. Private services at Williams Cemetery, near Dade City, are being planned. Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee (850-385-2193) is handling arrangements. Eno Alice Fox Ketchum was born in New Orleans on March 22, 1907. She was the only child of Eno Alice Gaylean and John Fox, who raised thoroughbred horses for many years in Saratoga, N.Y. John Fox came out of early retirement and moved the family to Central Florida, where he went into the real-estate and citrus business in the Tampa-Dade City area. Alice's father was an early pioneer in education in Pasco County. The Fox home was a very active place, as many of the teachers lived in their home. Little Alice was surrounded by teachers who loved her and spent many hours with her. A community center located in Dade City was named Fox Hall, in honor of her father. After graduating from Dade City High School, Alice moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State College for Women. It was there she met her future husband, James L. Ketchum, who had just graduated from Atlanta Business College. After her graduation in the summer of 1930, they were married, and he entered a 35-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. Alice was active in the Wives' Postal Auxiliary for many years. She was also secretary to the Senator LeRoy Collins while her husband served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Alice also volunteered at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as a Gray Lady in the early years of the hospital. She was active in Sunday school and Bible School at the First Baptist Church in Tallahassee and later became active in the Church of Christ in Zephyrhills, where her husband served as an elder. Alice was a charming and elegant lady who loved to entertain and was greatly admired by all who knew her. She loved playing bridge with her friends. She was very caring and loving to all of God's creatures and had a great love for all kinds of animals. She spent many hours nursing sick animals back to health. Her favorite T.V. programs were "Wild Kingdom" and "National Geographic." After her husband's retirement, Alice and James moved to Zephyrhills and remained active in civic affairs and volunteer work in the community. When their health began to fail, they returned to Tallahassee to live with their niece, Lillian De Long, and her husband, Richard. Eventually, Alice entered a local nursing home and later entered the private home of her devoted caregiver, Dorothy Holland of Hosford. She is survived by her devoted and beloved nieces, Lillian Ketchum De Long (and husband Richard) of Tallahassee and Betty Ketchum Gibbs Langston of Crawfordville. Other nieces include Mabel Fralick of Lamont and Christine Davis of Live Oak. Her great-nieces include Donna De Long Wolak of Tallahassee, Lisa Gibbs Garette of Houston, Texas, Elizabeth Anne Messer of Lamont, Dianne Spooner of Thomasville, Ga., Debra Schiller of Atlanta, Cheryl Fralick of Tallahassee and Denise Grossi of Young Harris, Ga. Her great-nephews include Charles M. Ketchum and Terrance Fralick, both of Tallahassee. She also is survived by other great-great-nieces and -nephews and a host of close friends. James McAllister "Mac" King, 55, of Mysterious Waters in Crawfordville died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in Tallahassee. A native of Albany, Ga., he had lived in Wakulla County for 30 years. He was a construction administrator with expertise in all areas of residential, commercial and industrial building. A skilled and passionate fisherman, he was a hunter, certified diver, sailor and a pirate born 200 years too late. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Stacie M. Phillips; a daughter, Summer Mariah King Deason of Brunswick, Ga.; a son, Ryan McAllister King of Mysterious Waters; two brothers, Charles King of Brunswick, Ga., and Jim Reeder of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters, Sally Brown of Midland, Mich,. and Lane Reeder of Ponte Vedra; several nieces and nephews, including Danielle Rosero and Alec Schoengrund, both of Ponte Vedra; an aunt and uncle, Nancy and Jack Torbett of St. Simons Island, Ga.; and many loving friends. Thomas "Chip" Newton Kinnebrew III, 53, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Ga. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 20, at Wildwood Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Ox Bottom Road and Meridian Road. He was the son of the late Thomas Kinnebrew as well as his surviving mother, Mary Kinnebrew. He attended Leon High School and later graduated from FSU with a B.S. in Nursing, as well as having earned master's degrees in Business Administration and Health Sciences from the University of Florida. He married Ann Parker of Tallahassee in 1979 and has four daughters. They were married for 27 years. At the time of his death, Tom was CEO of Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Ann Kinnebrew of Helena, Ark.; four daughters, Abigail Elaine Kinnebrew, Gwendylon Lee Kinnebrew, Alison Ann Kinnebrew and Kelsey Lynn Kinnebrew; his mother, Mary Lee Kinnebrew of Tallahassee; two sisters, Kathi Acker (and husband Todd) of Crawfordville and Marilee Smith (and husband Bob) of Tallahassee; and a nephew, Scott Kinnebrew (and wife Erica) of Tallahassee. Rodney Lee Kleppey, 68, who retired from the Department of Justice-Bureau of Prisons in 1984, with 33 years of service with the federal government, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
